    2. February 11, 2000 Dear Jean: If the first "W" stands for William, then your man was in the 10th SC Inf Regt., Co. "B", which was part of the Army of Tennesee and he was one of the few that served the terrible ordeal that that unit suffered. I believe that the 10th has some bio material on the HCHS but one of the better sites, if it is still there is, http://home.att.net/~jbdooch/sketch.htn and there are a number of other good sites on the SC Confederate Military Ring and other web sites, FYI. I believe that this is him. If his first name was not William, then are you sure his middle initial was "M", as there could be some other somewhat more remote possibilites. I'd go for his Compiled Service Record at the National Archives or at the SC Dept of Archives and History. If you can get his pension application papers, then that will clearly decribe his Confed Service, to check out William's ? for possible matching details. Please let me know if I may be of further service. Sincerely Yours----Julian Ejsak@aol.com wrote: > Julian > Could you look up W.W. Skipper spouse was Elizabeth. He was from Horry > County.
