O.K., I feel confident that he was in the 10th SCV Inf and you should get his pension and CSR photostat from the SC Dept of Archives and History in Columbia and a copy of the original CSR from the National Archives. At the same time and on the NARA form, you should request them to do a search of the Miscellaneous or "Unfiled Papers" Microfilm Rolls because you can often come up with something totally unexpected.
