PS: I would recommend checking the HCHS website to see if any of these gentlemen are cited there as having received Confed Pensions or contact the SC Dept of Archives and History in Columbia for the respective Counties in which they resides to get their pension data, both pre-1918 and post. They had considerable genealogical value, esp. the pre-1919 aps. It would be my guess that the dob cited for Mr. Hughes is incorrect as he would have been 50 years or more in age at the time of his Confed Service but the upward limit would have been 35-40 max. did he have a son named after him?
