    3. I was recently told that Isaac George Long's wife was Nancy Hickman. The 1850 Federal Census does not list Nancy and the oldest female in the household, Prudence, was 16. Amanda Melvina, my gg-grandmother, was 2 years old at the time. Last night while searching the LDS web page I came up with information that said Isaac G. Long wed Ingabo B. Oct 19, 1853. And on the 1880 Federal Census Isaac (69) and Ingabo (45) had 6 children, the oldest being 14. Seems reasonable to think that Isaac remarried and after his children from his first marriage had moved on (Amanda married my gg-grandfather December 22, 1865) might have started a second family. Here is what it looks like: 1 Isaac George Long b: 1810 in North Carolina . +Nancy Hickman d: Bef. 1850 ........ 2 Prudence C. Long b: 1834 ........ 2 William H. Long b: 1835 ........ 2 Mary Long b: 1838 ........ 2 Adalin Long b: 1840 ........ 2 John Long b: 1842 ........ 2 Reny Long b: 1843 ........ 2 Louisa Long b: 1844 ........ 2 Lorenzo Long b: 1846 ........ 2 Amanda Melvina Long b: July 14, 1848 in Horry County, South Carolina d: 1914 in Florida ............ +James M. Graham b: September 29, 1837 in Horry County, South Carolina d: Bef. 1912 in Georgia *2nd Wife of Isaac George Long: . +Ingabo B. ........ 2 Benjamin Long b: 1866 ........ 2 Robert Long b: 1868 ........ 2 Lizzie Long b: 1869 ........ 2 Cora Long b: 1871 ........ 2 Solon Long b: 1875 ........ 2 James Long b: 1880 Any thoughts or comments from anyone looking at this family? I don't have much more that this since I'm trying to stay focused on my primary line, the Grahams. Difficult as us Grahams can be! :-) Sincerely Dow L. Graham
