Eunice Brewer Collins, 76, passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center. Eunice was born February 24, 1934 in Myrtle Beach and was a daughter of the late Samuel and Rosa Shelley Branton. She was predeceased by her first husband, LeRoy W. Brewer. Eunice was a graduate of Myrtle Beach High School and had worked for 17 years with Wal-Mart. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Myrtle Beach. Surviving are two daughters, Donna Smith of Myrtle Beach and Cynthia Zimmermann (Walter) of Charlotte, NC; two sons, David Brewer (Suki) of Garner, NC and Robert Brewer (Sandra) of Kaneohe, Hawaii; a sister, Aileen Tyler of Myrtle Beach; seven grandchildren, David Brewer, Jr., Allison Stout, Holly Smith, George Brewer, Ricky Brewer, Jamie Brewer and Joshua Brewer; two great-grandchildren and her former husband, John Collins. MARION - Mr. Herbert Elbert "Bo" Davis, Jr., 65, husband of Nettie Evon Todd Davis, died Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at his home. Mr. Davis was born December 15, 1944 in Marion County, a son of the late Herbert Elbert Davis and the late Naomi Cook Davis. He was a retired machinist. Mr. Davis had served in the S.C. National Guard. He attended Mullins Freewill Baptist Pentecostal Holiness Church. Surviving Mr. Davis in addition to his wife of the home are: 2 Sons: Steven Herbert Davis and his wife Jan of Mullins and David Earl Davis and his wife Becky Lynn of Mullins; 3 Grandchildren: April Davis, Matthew Davis and Brandon Davis; a Sister: Dorothy Sawyer of Conway; and several nieces and nephews. He was born November 27, 1937 in Georgetown County, the son of the late Jessie G. and Katie Richardson Jordan. William James "WJ" Bessant, 75 died June 28, 2010 in the Conway Medical Center. MULLINS - Terry Brooks Strickland, 58, husband of Bonnie Elliott Strickland, died Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Terry, a son of the late Everette Fulton Strickland and Geneva Shelley Strickland, was born October 18, 1951 in Mullins and was raised in the Pleasant View Community of Horry County. He was a district manager for Campbell Oil /Minuteman Food Marts. Terry was a member of the Mullins City Council, where he was Mayor Pro Tem and served as chairman of the police committee and chairman of the water and sewer committee. He was a graduate of Floyds High School. Terry was a lifetime member of Wildlife Action, where he was a former chaplain, was inducted into the Wildlife Action Hall of Fame in 2002, and was presently serving as a National Board Member. He was also a former member of the Mullins Jaycees, where he had served as President. Terry was a member of Mullins First Baptist Church, where he was a Deacon, a member of the Brotherhood, teacher of the Men's Bible Class and very active in the church's youth ministry, and other ministry aspects of the church. Surviving Terry in addition to his wife of the home are: a Son: Stacy Brooks (Lindsay) Strickland of Mullins; a Daughter: Kathy Renee (Josh) Hamrick of Redmond, Washington, 3 Grandchildren: Chelsea Buffkin, Cassidy Strickland and Ian Hamrick; his Brothers and Sisters: Garland (Ann) Strickland of Lake View, Janice (Pete) Beckley of Aurora, Colorado, Charles Dwayne "Bob" (Dora) Strickland of Darl-ington and Priscilla McMillan of Mullins; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. in the Mullins First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, July 23, at Mullins First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jim Kirkland, Dr. Kenneth Sandifer, and Dr. Lewis E. McCormick officiating, and with special remembrances by Mr. Keith Herring. Burial will follow in Red Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery, directed by Cox-Collins Funeral Home. Reggie Norris, 44, of Norris Road, passed away Sunday, July 18, 2010. Reggie was born in Conway, a son of Lavenia "Beanie" Norris and the late R.A. Norris, Jr. He was employed by Grand Strand Water and Sewer Authority. Surviving, in addition to his mother of Conway, are two brothers, Rodney Norris and his wife, Brenda, and Rusty Norris and his wife, Rona, all of Conway; one sister, Renee Elvis and her husband, Woody, of Myrtle Beach; four nieces, Susan Norris Frye and her husband, Bryan, Jennifer Bailes, Sommer Norris and Hannah Norris. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at White Savannah Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Buddy Seay and Rev. Buster Benton officiating. Mrs. Floyd was born June 13, 1921, in Horry County, SC, the daughter of the late Joe Carroll and Rosa Todd Carroll. She was a member of James Island Baptist Church for 60 years. She and her husband co-founded Floyd Brace Company. She was a founding member of the Moreland Garden Club, a member of La Sertoma and the Air Streamers group. She loved square dancing, and in recent years she especially enjoyed the fellowship of her friends at Ashley Park. Surviving are her daughter Pamela Floyd Callahan and husband Jack of Charleston, Patty Floyd Tennant, of Charleston and Kingstree, SC, Paula Floyd Garrett and husband Brian of Ocean Isle Beach, NC; a sister, Blanche Carroll Stevens of Myrtle Beach; five grandchildren, Heather Weikel, Jessica Hooper, Sara Campbell, Drayton Garrett, Hannah Garrett; and four great-grandchildren.
