    3. Daphne B. Capps, Glade to hear from you. I can use all the help I can get on the Capps line as it is the one for which I have the least information. What I mentioned in the earlier message to Ginger is very nearly all I have on this line. As to the Lewis line, here is the sequence starting with my grandfather and working back: Nathan H. Lewis > William M. Lewis > N. Hugh G. Lewis > E. H. Lewis > William Lewis > William Lewis. As you can see they liked to recycle the names! These were all in Horry county. If you think this holds any promise for a tie into your Lewis lines, I can expand on this in another message. Robert E. Lewis

    3. Robert, do you have anywhere in you files a Martha Lewis, possibly Martha Christine. Born around 1978 and died Dec. 1906. This was my g-grandmother and I have been searching for years on anything on her family. She married Joseph Jackson Cooper and had three children. Thanks, Pearl

    3. I have an "Eliza" Mincey in my family---she was born in 1827, the daughter of Isaac Mincey and Jane Floyd, but I am not sure if this is the same Eliza Jane Mincey that you mentioned. (The Mincey's are a branch that I have not had a lot of luck in researching.) Wanda Martin (the former Horry listmistress) is also related to this Eliza Jane. (Wanda and I are at least "double" cousins and we have tried to link up through Eliza Jane as well.) She may have some info on her. Let me know if you need her email address.     3. Still looking for roots of Metzger, William, Jesse, and Joseph LITCHFIELD, b. 1797-1810 SC. These brothers migrated to Alabama before 1823. Metzger eventually settled in Baldwin Co., AL; the others went to Texas. Anyone researching these families? Or can you tell me about ANY LITCHFIELDs who were living in South Carolina in the period 1790-1830? Thanks! I descend from Francis Floyd Jr. (b. 1801) and wife Christian Williams through their daughter Sarah Jane Floyd (b. 1826) who married Elias Mitchell. With all the documentation on the LEWISs of VA, looks like we could find a clue somewhere, if Francis Sr. was indeed related to that family. Keep in touch and good hunting.
