    3. Hi James, I don't know that I can be of any help to you at all or not, however, the obit mentioned a surviving son living in Columbia, SC and since I live in Columbia, I might could get in touch with him and see what he might have. I also noticed that there was a "Kent Fowler" listed as a pallbearer and I have connections to the Fowlers from Tabor City and Loris areas. Just wondered if there might be a connection. Let me hear from you. Thanks, Bob Causey james gore wrote: > Below is an obit. of a cousin of mine. 3. It could be "Zion", although if you look at the marriage records on the HCHS site, there are alot of references to "Zoan". I'm not familiar enough with the area, and my mother, who is from Horry, nevery heard of it. ASA GARDEN: and Francis Martin Causey's 10 children (best available evidence): 1/ Henry Dudley "H.D." married Mary Francis Martin 2/ William Francis "Uncle Billy" married Caroline Olympus Brown and then Laura Hardee 3/ Ozella "Zell" or Ella married R. Not much else is known re. the Jordans except that I have noticed a number of List members are researching that surname. Please let me hear from you if any of these names "ring a bell" and you would like to attend the gravestone ceremony mentioned below for February 26, 2000, however, all interested parties are invited but please contact me ASAP so that I can get a head count. Thanks----Julian Dear Asa Garden Causey and James Perry Jordan Descendents: Please take notice that on Saturday, February 26, 2000, at 11:00 A.M. ( this date is definite but time of day is only probable), we will be holding a three tombstone dedication ceremony at Campground Cemetery in Conway, to honor Asa Garden Causey, James Perry Jordan and his son Zebedee Jordan. It would be wonderful to have as many descendents and related lines turn out as possible. We have obtained three tombstones from the Veterans Administration and they are in Conway awaiting their erection. We have, in addition, obtained two Confederate iron Crosses to mark their graves which will also be erected for the ceremony. Please contact me so that I can get a head count of the expected attendees ASAP and for further details as to the ceremony. All available data points to Asa Garden being buried in Campground along with his second wife, Emily Beaty, her brother, one of his brothers and two sisters etc. and numerous Causey kin. We do not, however, have conclusive evidence as to his burial location and urgently urge anyone that does, to please contact me ASAP. James Perry is buried next to his wife, Asa's sister, Martha Jane "Patty" Causey Jordan. James' and Martha Janes' son, Zebedee Jordan died in Jackson Confederate Hospital in Richmond, VA on July 31, 1864, so his stone will be a "memorial" or cenotaph.
