My John Sarvis (1824-1864)appears to be brother to W.J. along with another samuel and several other siblings What i have is bits and pieces . Pension records , war of 1812 Samuel Sarvis served with Capt. James Johnston comp. wife, Rhoda Watts wo-11224 Deeds : Samuel and William Sarvis (1794) land granted to and surveyed for John Grainger(my grgrgrgrGrandfather)lying on south side of Jordan creek. When i started researching the sarvis line , I visited Aiken (jenrette)Sarvis.Though hard of hearing and and advanced in age , I was able to get some information . She had a copy of some work done by several cousins that began with W.J. Aiken married Albert Sarvis s/o Patrick C. Sarvis s/o John N. Sarvis.My grandmother was Florie , sister to Albert. Je received a confed pension and his pension is on file at the SC Dept of Archives and History in Columbia.
