I am trying to location anything on the parents of a John Schofield born in Vermont abt 1835. he is the 3rd great Grandfather of my Husband. Unfortunately his family on his father's side wont talk about the family. I have record of him in the 1840 census around Brandon, Vermont and then then again in 1850 at 17 ish In Franklin, Vermont. I know that he was either married too or just had children with a Betsey Button. However I can not account for his death or birth. Here is a census record that shows him with other Schofield's in Vermont, however they all came in from Canada and I am not sure if anyone is a father or mother, since there is no head of house listed and no children listed either.
