Hi List Members I am trying to find any details on my g.ggranfather - ADAM SCHOFIELD. Born 1817 Tyldesley, Lancashire. i.e. parents ADAM SCHOFIELD married Mary Ann Walker (Born 1832 - Worsley, Lancashire) abt.1850 and they had 9 children. Ellen 1852 -Thomas 1854 - twins Amelia & Sarah (g.grandmother) 1858 - John Thomas 1860 - Charles Henry 1862 - Emma 1864 - Mary - 1866 & Elizabeth 1868. All Children were born in Gorton, Manchester by which time Adam Schofield worked as a Roller Cover/Lodge Keeper at Gorton Cotton Mills. Anyone any connections to this SCHOFIELD family? I guess I'm lucky as my SCHOFIELD line mostly live, marry & die in Hathersage, Derbyshire. Earliest found so far are James who married Mary Jackson on 1/1/1736.
