Son of John W. and Mary Anne Scofield, Arthur Burton Schofield was born in Bridgetown, N.S. in Sept., 1883. His mother was a widow with 4 sons a few years later. Three sons - Arhur, Aaron, Allen, eventually moved to British Columbia. There is a small gravesite on Schofield family property on Morse Rd. (Carleton Corners), Bridgetown. Arthur was baptized in Annapolis Parish Anglican Church. Have never found marriage record of John and Mary Anne, or their burial place. Mary Anne Leary, born in Chelsea, N.S., Feb. 17, 1859. She was a daughter of Cornelius Leary. Married John Scofield. Widow Mary A. Schofield married Duncan McDonald of Kingston, N.S. on June 30, 1893. Widow Annie McDonald, aged 45, married widower James Albert Wilkins on May 9, 1904. Did they live and die in Nova Scotia? Any information please write to Beverley J.
