Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/ZiFBAEB/311 Message Board Post: I'm looking for information on a Captain John Schofield, (ship captain) born 1862 possibly in England, m. Marie-Louise Gauthier in Montreal ( had 5-6 children including my grandmother Maggie Schofield m. Tetrault) He died in 1923 and is buried in Montreal, Qc, Cdn. Only info I have on him is that he sunk his or a ship in les Iles de la Madelaine probably late 1890's and was very tall and red hair/bearded. He was also involved with setting the navigational routes in the Gulf of St. Lawrence still used today. I was told that 'our' Schofield was Anglo-german in descendance by my grandmother. Any info or advise would be appreciated, please contact me at [email protected] ===8<===========End of original message text===========
