My wife and I have used him for research on both our families and have been pleased with his work. Klaus lives in Kiel and is very familiar with the area, the various research resources and you can contact him using the Contact tab to get a feel for his research fees. When you review the name Kuhl under the Emigrants tab you will see that the spelling is Kuehl. If you are new to German research don't let this bother you since the spelling often changed when they emigrated to America. Best of luck.
