He was born Jan. 1847 (according to U.S. Census) in Holstein. He came to America in 1868 and lived out his life in the state of Iowa. It would be great if you had some information for me as I cannot find where he entered the U.S. Also, I have no idea how or where to find any record of him leaving Germany.
