My ggrandfather, Christian Hansen, came to America from Schleswig in 1866 at the age of 16. He came to Dallas county, Iowa to stay with a relative who family tradition says was Peter Hansen. My gggranmother's scrapbook which is located in the public library in Jamaica, Ioa has an obit for a Peter Hansen. Would like to see if it is possible that your Peter Hansen is the relative my grandfather stayed with.
