I also have a Peter H. Hansen in my tree. He is not directly related to me, but I am adding to my tree all the German immigrants who moved to the Woodward, Iowa area and intermarried almost exclusively with former residents of Schleswig-Holstein. This Peter was supposedly born on 4/15/1838 in Ulsness, Schleswig-Holstein, Denmark. His wife, Maria Hansen (Hansen was her maiden name as well as her married name) was born in Brodersby on 4/4/1846. I have no information about either person's parentage. I am confused how the Peter Hansen mentioned in previous threads would have arrived at the surname of Hansen unless they were going by patronymics and his father's name was Hans. I am a descendent of the Seemanns of Brodersby and the Schnoors of Hamburg on my mother's side. Also, I noticed that your last name is Struve. My great, great, great grandmother Antje Magdelena "Caroline" Schnoor had a sister, Emile Catharin! a Schnoor married a Ernest Henry "E.H." Struve who was born 4/27/1826 in Helse, Dithmarschen, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany to Caspar Paul Friedrich Ernest Struve and Wiebke Margaretha Peters. I wanted to see if you happened to know anything about any of these people or anyone who might. Danke, Melissa Hodne Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
