A wile back, I googled the name "Temple" (My Grandfather was Charles Temple)and I found a page that listed numerous "Temple" families. It that document I was able to find my Great (X2) grandfather, Joseph De Temple and it stated that he immigrated from Augsburg, Germany. I later discovered that he was born in NY in 1840 and it was his father Joseph, and mother Mary De Temple that immigrated from either Augsburg, or Auschburg, Germany.
