Friends -- I am looking for information and ancestors for: Dittmer Vieths, b. 11 Dec 1780, Prasdorf, Holstein; presumed to have died before June 1849, because his wife emigrated to America at that time. Wife: Abel Schnoor, b. 1787, Prasdorf, Holstein Their 4 sons emigrated to America 1839-1849 and settled in Scott County, Iowa. Eldest son, Asmus Vieths, b. 21 March 1807, Holstein, is reported to have returned to Holstein sometime after 1870 and died in Lubeck, 1875 I have info on the 4 sons and their families in the U.S., if anyone is looking for them.
