He immigrated to the USA sometime prior to or between 1868 - 1873. He married Anne Mariah Renner and they settled in St. Louis, MO. Living in their household was a William Frank. Both Erick and William were carpenters and Erick supposedly had a carpentry business in St. Louis. It is also possible that these two men immigrated from Germany at the same time??? Oral history in the family has said Erick was Danish. But, the 1880 US Census for St. Louis, MO lists his place of birth and those of his parents as Germany. I am not sure where to even begin to try and locate information that my help me in my research. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated!!
