Joachim Stoltenberg (1820-1904) was married to Abel Bortger or Boettcher. Couple married and raised family in Krokau. Two known children are Conrad Stoltenberg (1868-1937) and Catherina Stoltenberg, who married Christian Broer in Probstei area. All eventually emigrated to Clinton, Iowa, USA. Also, Joachim Stoltenberg had a sister Cecilia Stoltenberg (1836-1924), who emigrated to Davenport, Iowa, and married John F. Hamann.
