Hello Sonja, My great aunt Anna Catharina Margaretha ARMBRUST married a JANSSEN (JANSEN) from the Helgoland S-H area. His name was William Peter Jacob Janssen dob 4 Sept 1853 and he probably died at sea. I think it may have been shortly after their marriage but I'm not sure. They had a daughter however, Margaretha JANSSEN dob 7 August 1878 Nienstedten, Hamburg, GR, died 23 February 1959 Hamburg, GR (Altona I think) and she was married to a man named Otto Johann Heinrich ALBRECHT. In general most of my ancestors in this line were from the Hamburg area. Do you think there may be a connection ? Thanks, Bob Armbrust Port Orange, FL USA On 5/26/12 8:26 PM, Sonja and Hannes Jansen wrote: > Hi, Helen. > > After 60 years away from home and living in Australia I do remember some of > the poem ( I think ) > > Hier hast du einen Taler > geh' zum Markt > kauf dir eine Kuh > Tickle tickle tickle du > > I hope it helps, things did happen sooooo long ago. > > Cheers from down under > > Sonja. > ******************************************************************* > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Helen Green"<hfg3@gmtel.net> > To:<schleswig-holstein-roots@rootsweb.com> > Sent: Thursday, May 24, 2012 9:42 PM > Subject: [SCHLESWIG-HOLSTEIN-ROOTS] Old German Rhyme > > >> Does anyone know an old German rhyme that was said while stroking the palm >> of a child and at the end tickling the palm >> making the little one laugh? >> Helen >> ==== SCHLESWIG-HOLSTEIN-ROOTS Mailing List ==== >> Technical Terms and Rules of the S-H-ROOTS: >> http://www.genealogy-sh.com/faq-sh-roots/index.htm >> >> ------------------------------- >> To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to >> SCHLESWIG-HOLSTEIN-ROOTS-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' >> without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message >> > > ==== SCHLESWIG-HOLSTEIN-ROOTS Mailing List ==== > Technical Terms and Rules of the S-H-ROOTS: > http://www.genealogy-sh.com/faq-sh-roots/index.htm > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to SCHLESWIG-HOLSTEIN-ROOTS-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message >
