Start searching and see! I have my data on Ancestry. Nothing happened for along time, then in 2008 I had a note from a cousin in Hamburg that we had a common ancestor. It was a thrill for me to find them. I didn't look a lot like my Irish relatives and found that I resembled my German half more so! I only wish I had found them sooner and while my husband was still with us, and we were still traveling. We went to Bayreuth in the early 2000's, and were only a hop skip and a jump from Hamburg. At 87, traveling alone does not appeal to me! One never knows where help comes from. I have found out that most of the people I have had contact with on sites and lists (including this one) have been very kind and generous with their time. Dorothea
