My name is Klaus Struve and I live in Kiel, SH. I replied, off the board, to the person who wrote this, and who is looking for Thielmann-ancestors here in the Old Country. This person, whose name I know, is scared about losing his/her identity or his/her identity being "stolen". Far from understanding what your e-mail-address has to do with your identity, I respect that view and do not address you with your name. Who knows what you have been through. However, you posted your e-mail-address on the SH-board, which gave me opportunity to contact you directly. In my first mail, I directed you to my website www.rootdigger.de and the database of 70 - 80 000 emigrants from Schleswig- Holstein. You found your ancestor there and his parents' names. I was also able to confirm the date of birth you had down for him. You asked for more info, if possible. I said: yes, some generations, but I work for money, as a professional. For affordable prices. Your reply was : don't know you, etc., and I suggested to google my name plus genealogy plus research. There is ample reference to me in the web. That same day, you asked why I refused to give you a pricing for the "affordable" research I had offered. I assure you : you have never asked me for fees and terms. There is no such mail in my Inbox. Maybe, you asked some other guy from Kiel instead of me. Having been a researcher for 10 years now, I count my happy clients in the hundreds, and the majority of them come back for second, third, or further helpings of the old source material that I dig up. It is okay that you do not trust me, but I have certainly no reason whatsoever to hold back my schedule of fees from a potential client. Your statement in respect of this is wrong, and the light you make me appear in - these are things "up with which I can not put". This needed to be said.
