Hi Irene, Thank you for your reply. How exciting that you think there may be a connection between our families. According to the Marriage cert. Christina C. was from Behrensbrock and her father Johan Heinrich Greve was a labourer in Neudorf. I wrote to Remtamt im Kirchenkreis, Eckernforde in 1996 for a copy of the marriage cert., and that is the sum total of my research in Germany. I will try some Google searches and see if I can find an Archive or some such thing for Neudorf. Perhaps I will have some luck, or it may be a good idea to return to my original source. Thank you for your reply. I would appreciate any help you can give me, and I will certainly follow your leads. Hi Doreen We found it very interesting to see your request, since we are doing research in Gettorf area through the last few years for the Boock family. To be honest, most of the work is done by my wife. My family originates from the village of Neudorf, now we are living just 50 km from this place and so it is not very difficult for us to look up for details in the church records which are now stored in the church archive in Rendsburg. The spelling of my family name Boock changed in the records from case to case between Boock and Book, but also Bok appeared in early records. So there might be also a connection to later Bock families from this area but we did not spent time yet to investigate that case. And so we added some Bock family members to our data file when coming across, but we have not yet information about your ancestors as mentioned in your request. Most of my ancestors lived in this area and worked in villages or estates near Gettorf, like Behrensbrook, Borghorst, Wulfshagen etc. through three centuries, also the name Greve (Grewe) appears in our family tree, first time in 1729. For short information regarding our research you may visit our website. I am afraid this site is not up to date but it might give you some further information: www.boock-family.de For further communication feel free to send direct e-mail Wolfgang -----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- Von: schleswig-holstein-roots-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:schleswig-holstein-roots-bounces@rootsweb.com] Im Auftrag von Doreen Powell Gesendet: Montag, 2.
