Many Thanks Dave I've just had a very quick first look at the Axis History Forum. It looks as if it may also give me valuable advice on another line of research I'm doing regarding my step-father's first, Antonia Lyon-Smith (1925-2010) who was stranded in France in 1940. She ended up being arrested in 1943 in Paris by the Gestapo for her walk-on role in the escape of Leopold Trepper, leader of the celebrated Red Orchestra Soviet spy ring. March, 1915; in Gefgsch (abbreviation for Gefangenschaft) = in a prisoner of war camp You could go to Axis History Forum into their World War 1 section and ask about the 34th fusiliers regimental history. There are some in depth resources there. Dave Koenig
