I do not read German, but am very interested in the Schluter/Schleuter discussion. Looking for information of Christine Schleuter born 11/27/1860 possibly near Kellinghusen, Holstein. There is a story she was born to the 2nd wife of her father. Her fathers first wife possibly had 4 children before she died. Possible names for the 4 children may be Pete, Annie, Maggie, Henry Schleuter/Schluter. Possible extended relatives are Pohlmann. Christine Schleuter/Schluter came to NY on 4/16/1879 on the ship Herder from Hamburg/Havre France. She traveled with and married Mark Kohnke 4/27/1879 in MN. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
