    1. [S-H-RTS] SEEMANN, BOHLING
    2. I am endeavoring to do geanealogy search for my husband's ancestors. We live in Ohio, USA and I speak and read no German. How I wish I could. My husband's father was Paul Wilhelm-Johannes Seemann, born 22 July 1902 in Winterbech, Holstein (Kiel-Hassee) Germany. He came to the United States of America on 10 August 1931, married Marie Bohling in USA on 30 September 1933, and died 24 September 1976 in Brooklyn, NY. Paul's father was Fritz Frederich Seemann and Magdalene Cornils. Fritz was born on 3 October 1873 and died 21 August 1948 in Germany. Magdalene Cornils Seemann was born 26 January 1873 and died 28 December 1922. I obtained both their birth and death dates from a photograph of their tombstone, bearing the stamp "The Fotograf." I do not know where their tombstone is located. Fritz and Magdalene had five children. They were Herta, Paul, Wilhelm, Ludwig and Franz. Franz was born 30 September 1899 and died in a war. My husband's mother was Marie Bohling. She was born 11 December 1905 in Dipshorn, Hannover, Germany and died 25 March 1993 in Johnstown, Ohio, USA. Her father was Claus Bohling, born 7 January 1865 and died 14 June 1955. Her mother was Anna Marie Koester, born 11 February 1873 and died 8 May 1943. Both were in Germany. Claus and Anna had five or six children. They were Diedrich (born 25 December 1901 and died 26 January 1945), Karharina (born 8 September 1904 and died 1 May 1988), Anna (born 15 May 1908 and died 18 October 1982), and Fritz (born 12 February 1913 and died 16 July 1991). I have been told that Claus Bohling's paternal parents were Johann Diedrich Bohling and Anna Catharine nee Wahlers, and Anna Marie nee Wahlers. Also, that Claus Bohling's maternal parents were Friedrich Koester and Marie nee Otten. Any information will be so greatly appreciated. Thank you. Sincerely, Nora Seemann
