Greetings Stephen, I would suggest that you start with checking the 1845 Census for it will likely give the location/Parish where the parents were born. While I have not searched the Oldenberg area, I have searched considerably in the area below Tonder. I have the name Lutzen in my ancestry. What part of England do you live in? My wife has lots of ancestry from England.
