I am seeking information about the immigration of Henry Langrehr and his wife Ida Mae Heitmann/Heidmann and at least one daughter, Minnie Langrehr. They are enumerated in the 1880 U. S. Census thusly: 1880 U.S. Federal Census > New Jersey > Hudson > Jersey > District 25 32 Bonner Avenue Name Relation Marital Status Gender Race Age Birthplace Occupation Father's Birthplace Mother's Birthplace Henry LANGHAR Self M Male W 40 HAMBERG Cabinet Maker HAMBERG HAMBERG Ida LANGHAR Wife M Female W 40 HAMBERG Keeping House HAMBERG HAMBERG Minnie LANGHAR Dau S Female W 16 HAMBERG Cloak Maker HAMBERG HAMBERG Annie LANGHAR Dau S Female W 6 NJ HAMBERG HAMBERG John LANGHAR Son S Male W 5 NJ HAMBERG HAMBERG Charles LANGHAR Son S Male W 3 NJ HAMBERG HAMBERG Henry LANGHAR Son S Male W 2 NJ HAMBERG HAMBERG Source Information: Census Place Precinct 2, District 4, Jersey City, Hudson, New Jersey Family History Library Film 1254783 NA Film Number T9-0783 Page Number 176B My husband's grandmother, Dorothy Langrehr, was born 20 June 1880, but only those persons alive in the household as of June 1 were to be enumerated, so she was not mentioned. Dorothy's birth certificate indicates that she is the 10th child with 6 living children. So there were probably four other children born between 1864 and 1874. We will be traveling to Trenton, New Jersey next month to do research at the state archives to see whether those four children were born in Germany or New Jersey. This will narrow the immigration date we hope. We have not found this family in the German's to America books. Any guidance will be greatly appreciated. Dotty Sprague Cole
