Surnames: LAUSEN, SONN Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/kVC.2ACE/3354 Message Board Post: Am looking for information on Christian Heinrich Lausen, born around 1823, from Schleswig-Holstein, who immigrated to the U.S. in 1854-1855. He departed in 1854 on the Hampton from Schleswig in Schleswig-Holstein. He died around 1895 in Galveston. Also, looking for information on Dorothea Maria Sonn Lausen, born around 1831 who, I am fairly sure, was also from Schleswig-Holstein. Am not sure of year of immigration, but am guessing it was around the mid-late 1850s. She died on October 4, 1895 in Galveston. Christian Heinrich and Dorothea Maria were married on January 23, 1862 in Galveston, Texas. They had five children before they divorced around 1880. If you feel you may be a descendant or distant relation of one of these individuals or if you think you may have further information on either, or both, of them, especially on their lineages and/or their lives before their immigration, please let me hear from you!
