Dear Members, As you all know I act as archival custodian of the regional church records office of the "Probstei Rendsburg" (open on Tuesdays only) comprising the church districts of Hademarschen, Wacken, Schenefeld, Todenbuettel, Innien, Hohenwestedt, Jevenstedt, Bovenau, Hohn, Rendsburg-St.Mary, Rendsburg Christ Church and Hamdorf. As of August 15. I have been appointed as well as archival custodian of the regional church records office of South Dithmarschen (Suederdithmarschen), though at present only until the end of this year. In this connection I am primarily responsible for written enquiries and shall be present at the archives one day each week. On all other days the archives are open as well, though researchers have to depend on their own resources and can receive but limited or no assistance at all. In this regional church records office official records are available in the form of microfiche films, and researches are conducted with microfiche readers. Available are the parishes of Albersdorf, Barlt, Brunsbuettel, Burg, Eddelak, Haligoland (Helgoland), Hemmingstedt, Kronprinzenkoog, Marne, Meldorf, St.Michaelisdonn, Nordhastedt, Suederhastedt, Windbergen and Woehrden.
