    3. Hi Julie, I attempted to borrow Schubert's books through interlibrary loan, but because of copyright conflicts, no books can be sent to the USA from Germany. This applies to photocopies as well. I have found that in the USA there are three libraries who possess Schubert's books: The Davenport Public Library's Special Collections Center owns these volumes: Band 3 - Propstei Rendsburg Band 4 - Probsteien Kiel, Plon und Segeberg Band 6 - Pobstei Oldenburg-Fehmarn Band 8 - Propstei Norderdithmarschen bearbeitet von Christian Griem Band 10a - Propstei Munsterdorf, Leif. 2: Raum Wilster bearbeitet von Wilhelm F. Behnke Band 14a-d - Altona mit Ottensen Their address is: The Richardson-Sloane Special Collections Center Davenport Public Library 321 Main Street Davenport, Iowa 52801 563-326-7902 FAX: 563-326-7901 scdpl@libby.rbls.lib.il.us They charge $3.00 per request. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Also Harvard Library owns many Schubert books. They charge $20 per request. Their address is: Interlibrary Loan Widener Library of the Harvard College Library Harvard University Cambridge, MA 02138 617 495-2431 (they have a webpage that you can find at google) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The other possibility is to order copies from the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah. Their photocopies are $4.50 per page. They own almost complete collections of Schubert's books. I don't have the mailing address, but an order form can be obtained from your nearest Family History Branch Center. The main libraries website is at: http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/default.asp At this site is a link to finding the nearest library to your location. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A fourth possibility is to contact the Immigrant Genealogical Society in Burbank, California. The main website is at: http://feefhs.org/igs/frg-igs.html The page for look-ups in Schubert books is: http://feefhs.org/igs/egma/egma-2.html Good Luck!
