    1. Re: [S-H-RTS] Christensen, Hansen, Andersen
    2. Hello to the group members: Here is more information on my ggrandparents. George (could be Georg, or Jorgen with the line through the o) emigrated to the U. S. in 1879, according to census documentation. His name was misspelled as Anderson in the census. He was naturalized and owned his own farm. Sophie emigrated in 1882. George and Sophie may have married in the USA because the census showed they had been married 18 years in 1900 and had had six children born and six children living. Their children were Carl b Aug 1885, Olaf b Dec 1887, Margartha b Sept 1890, Hansthe (or Hans) b Oct 1892, Simon b Apr 1896, and Sophus dates unknown. I am researching George and Sophie in earnest, as they are the only branch of the family tree that is not clear to me. Is it possible that Sophie was Norwegian? The EN spelling of Andersen, I was always told, was Danish. I look for guidance to this group. Thank you for any help you can provide to me. Carol
