He emigrated prior to 1892 to the USA to escape Prussian conscription. He lived in the Town of Eaton, near Green Bay, Wisconsin. He was married to Sophie Christensen, b. 28 Feb. 1860, daughter of John Christensen and Margeret Hansen. I do not know if they were married in S-H or in the USA.
