I am trying to locate descendants of Johannes Braack (born in I assume Germany), definitely a seaman and perhaps a Captain, and Alice Simpson, born in Alnwick Parish, Northumberland County, New Brunswick, Canada . Family history says that a German ship came several times to the Miramichi River in New Brunswick, and that Alice left on the ship. I recently discovered that Alice and Johannes were married 15 Aug 1906 in Newcastle-on-Tyne, England. Also know that they had one son Hans Hubert (born May 31st, year unknown but suspect 1907), and that they were living at Schleswig, Stadteg 31 at the time. Unconfirmed family knowledge is that there were three other sons. Nothing has been heard from the family for about 50 years. Any help and suggestions on how to search for these people and their descendants would be much appreciated. I am occasionally in Hamburg on business. All help and suggestions welcome.

Here is a phrase from a marriage certificate for Altona-Hamburg, from 1880;s (please excuse misspellings): Uls Zeugen tvaren zugezogen und erichienen: then a name is listed, would this be a witness to the marriage??
