Primary line: Zerrien or Serrien. Michel dob Sept 1745 in Mecklenburg. parents Lorenz Serrien & Anna Gretchen Schwartz. Michel moved to SH before 1789 and changed the spelling to Zerrien. He married (1789) Elsabe Hansen of Rodemis. She was the widow of Johann Hinrich Martens. The Zerriens were blacksmiths in Husum (Rodemis) until 1886 when my line of them came to the USA and settled in Clinton, Iowa. They were members of the Lutheran Church in Mildstedt in SH.
