Ok heres my part of the Roll Call. My name is Janet and IM researching my Family on my Fathers Side. Have been doing my search for just going on 2 years, started with 100 names and now have over 3000 and thanks to the Internet. ok. I am 4th Generation American coming from Germany to Norway to here. IM still trying to get information on my 6th Great Grandparents. His name is Joachim Frederick Chrisitan Kr�ger (Christian may not be one of his names) Born in Stendal and Died in Stavenhagen. He married Catarina Ilsabee Stuwitz Born in Minden, Germany and died in Stendal. We do not have any dates for them. we do know or should I say the story goes. He had 3 sons he sent either all three or just to north into Norway to escape the prussian war or only two. one Stayed in Bergen (MY 5th G Grandfather) the other one or two went north and started a fishery or something. One part of the Story goes that one went back to Germany. We do have one name that has one dyin in Germany. but right now hes a floating grandfather cause only one person has him as a grandfather. NOW. we do know my 5th Great Grandfather was born in 1714 so we dont know how old his father was when he was born but we are assuming 20 to 3o so that would be his father being born around 1685 give 20 years in case. We have traced one branch of the family back to the year 0214. and surprised the blank out of us on how many high ranking indviduals in the society there were. Is there anyone that can help me get farther in the Stendal area. we Have written to the churches in the Town and havent heard back from them.
