Ggrandparents Charles William Siemsen b. abt 1819 came to St. Louis from Holstein abt. 1850. He married Catherine Brinker b. abt 1830, from Hannover. They were married in 1866 in St. Louis. Their children were: Julia, Anna, William, Peter and George. Have checked all obvious records in St. Louis for the name of the town of birth. Other Siemsen's in the St. Louis area at the time my family was living there, were from Lutzenburg, Oldenburg but have not found a specific connection.

Hello Joyfire ;-) I'm working on census Luetjenburg, S.H., Oldenburg area, (your Lutzenburg? - no such town in Germany). There are some Siems and Siemsen but in the census 1835, which I have closed, I didn't find a Carl Wilhelm Siemsen, sorry.
