    3. My grand father was Arthur Rostock b. 1879 in Liverpool, England. His father was Ludwig Herwich Gustave Carle Rostock born about 1855. His birthplace on the UK 1881 census is Kiel, Germany. That is my dead end. I cannot find any further info on Ludwig. Thank you Mo Brown ----- Original Message ----- From: Hans-Peter Voss <Hans-Peter.Voss@t-online.de> To: <SCHLESWIG-HOLSTEIN-ROOTS-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, October 03, 2003 11:46 PM Subject: [S-H-RTS] Admin message > Dear Members of the SH-ROOTS-list, > We have now a total of 633 subscribers. 3. You mentioned Kiel Germany in your post. I have one "step" ancestor born near there. My husband's widowed great grandmother married Jurgen Krehn born June 3, 1843 in Hohenfelde, Holstein and was told that it was approx. 10 miles ENE of Kiel. And Kiel is about 60 miles north of Hamburg. So now I am concentrating my search for those ancestors departing from Hamburg. Hoped this might help you a little bit. 3. Hi, I am researching CHRISTIANSEN, UDENBYE/UDENBYS, LUELOFF/LULLOFF, VOSS I am mainly looking for information on my GGGGrandparents Jorgen Christiansen Udenbys and Marie Catherine Frederiksen. I have found some christening records for their children from Kegnæs, Aabendraa-Sønderborg, which is a place I am having a hard time finding. They had 14 children from 1840 to 1864. Elene Marie - died as a baby, Marie Catherine (Madsen) born April 30 1840, Christian born Sept 24 1841, Hans born Feb 8 1843, George born May 22, 1844, Christina Marie (Olsen) born Dec 18, 1846, Anna Marie (Jacobsen) born Feb 9, 1849, Catherine Marie (Halvorsen) born Apr 11, 1850, Chrestin born March 12, 1854, Magdalena Sophia (Nelson) born Sept 21, 1854, Anna Margretha (Thortzen) born Oct 29, 1856, Ellen (Anderson) born May 7, 1859, Fred born Oct 31, 1862 and Iver born March 29, 1864 I am also having a very hard time finding immigration information on the children. I know that Christian, Fred, Catherine, Magdalena and Iver immigrated for sure, but I do not know about the others. LUELOFF/VOSS Ludwig (Louis) LUELOFF, son of Frederick Lueloff and Dorothea Sophia LORENZ. Ludwig was born 24 Oct 1823 in Prussia, He was married on 25 Sep 1853 to Wilhelmine VOSS, born 10 Feb 1836 in Germany Gretchen Lulloff ----- Original Message ----- From: "Hans-Peter Voss" <Hans-Peter.Voss@t-online.de> > Dear Members of the SH-ROOTS-list, > > I invite you to sent a so called roll call about your ancestors and / or > about the dead ends of your research in the next 14 days. > Please list as much information as possible, e.g. full names, birth > places, and names of parents. > Thank you. > Regards, > Hans Peter Voss ; Admin SH-ROOTS-list >
