    3. I have been unable to trace my great-great grandparents: Carson Ohm, born abt. 1832, d. 1911. Family report (notes of Jennie Smith Ohm, ca. 1942) is that he came from Schleswig, through NY and then PA. He is buried in Audubon, IA, USA. Carson's wife, Mary Henning (poss. Marie), born abt. 1844 in Holstein?, d. 1915 also buried in Audubon, IA. Also according to Jennie Smith's notes: Will Henning was Mary's brother. He lived in Eastern Iowa or Illinois. Carson and Mary lived in Manning, Iowa Carroll, IA is the county seat. And Carson had a brother named Pete Ohm, who was in the Union Army. Pete's daughters were Edith Darlin, Minnie and Millie. Edith's daughter is Ruth Taggert. Carson & Mary had 14 children: George Andrew Ohm (1866-1936) m. Elizabeth Jennie Smith (1877-1960) were my great grandparents Love to hear from some family.
