    3. Eugene: Endless thanks for your offer! My ggrandfather, Peter JOHNSON (Johnsen), emigrated from Schleswig (Als, Sonderborg) sometime between the late 1850's and 1868. His birthdate was 16 Apr 1839. He married my ggrandmother in Milwaukee in 1868 (also my hometown). Ggrandmother Martha Hansen, born 7 Aug 1851, emigrated in or about 1866 -- but I do not know if they came over together. Either of them could have been travelling with other HANSENS (Jochim was Martha's father), or CLAUSENS, or KAADS, whom I am also researching. Any information would be greatly appreciated! Names and birth years are: Martin (approx. 1840) Wilhelmina (1836) Herman (1864) and wife Matilda (1869), children Eric (1888) and Marlene (1889) Ferdinand (1866) Freidrich (1871) Martha (1873) I realize that these fall outside your indexes but any information and advice would be greatly appreciated. The only other information I have is that Martin did not travel with his wife and children, but did come later and may have died during the voyage.
