My paternal grandfather, John Henry David Cook, was born on 31 Oct 1868 in Romdrup By, Romdrup, Fleskum, Aalborg as Johan Hendrik David Koch the son of Frederich Rudolph Koch and Maren Kjeldsen. He emigrated to the United States about 1890 and died on 10 Dec 1918 in Waupaca, Wisconsin. I have been unable to find anything regarding the origin of his family in Schleswig-Holstein other than that documented below. Johann Carl Tønnes Koch was born about 1830 in Reinbech amt ved Hamburg (has also been reported as Egeberg i Holsten). Ane Frederikke Cathrine Koch was born about 1831 in Kiel, Schleswig-Holstein. Ane married Anders Peter Christensen on 19 Apr 1862 in Gunderup, Fleskum, Aalborg. 5. Stine Ane Frederikke Koch was born about 1835 in Gudum, Fleskum, Aalborg and was christened on 25 Oct 1835 in Gudum. 6. Frederich Rudolph Koch was born 9 Feb 1841 in Gudum, Fleskum, Aalborg, was christened on 30 May 1841 in Gudum and died in 1922, at age 81.
