    2. Gary I saw your message on the Schleswig Holstein listserve. I think we have emailed before as my Kay line married Deitchler (Wilhelmina Kay and Fredrick Deitcher in about 1870) and their daughter Martha Deitchler married Theodore Schoening (I think in Mineola, Iowa about 1903). Any way the Kay line came from Lutjenburg. But I have not worked on the German origin yet. But I am definitely interested if I am correct that you are referring to the area of their origin?
