Hi Klaus, Thanks for the information. It is helpful, since I couldn't find it on the map either. I thought maybe i.d.Lund meant "in the south" or south of Schobuell....like perhaps an unincorporated area that just took the name of a local farm???? The Norwegians were great on this procedure! So why do they put i.d. in front the the name, Lund? Some year we hope to get to Germany and visit these areas of our ancestors. My sister and I have been working on the Norwegian side the past few years and we took a trip to Norway in 2001 after we had completed our research. We started on the German side about two years ago, but last year everything was put on hold when my son was dignosed with cancer and died 6 months later. So now I am getting back to research again. But we have a lot to research before we take the trip. We are pushing for 2006!!!! Thanks again. In 1962, mail to Lund had to go via Hockensbuell. I guess Lund is the name of a handful of buildings between Schobuell and Hockensbuell. Nowadays probably no more than the name of a street. The people of Lund worshipped in Schobuell. They were supposed to, anyway. A map scale 1 : 150,000 does not show Lund. It must be tiny.
