My grandfather was Fred William Hartkopf who immigrated from Bergdorf, Schleswig-Hostein, Germany around 1903...He was the son of Frederick Heinrich Hartkopf and Johanna Wihe both of Bergdorf, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. My grandfather died in 1936 in Ontario, San Bernardino County, California. He had a brother still living Herbert Hartkopf in Bergedorf, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany in 1968.
