According to Danish Emigration records, Frederik Julius CHRISTIANSEN was a Dane who lived in Altona, Schleswig, prior to emigrating to the U S in 1891 at the age of 27. He was a cabinetmaker by trade and soon after reaching the US was living in Atlanta, Georgia, with the German-speaking family of Jakob SCHRANK. I believe the SCHRANK family was from Baden before their emigration--also in 1890 and 1891. I surmise that Frederik and Jakob were acquainted in Altona prior to their emigration and am looking for any records I can find to support this. Also I would like to know if there were any apprenticeship records for that time period because I think that Frederik learned his trade there.
