Hi, I am new to this list. I believe I have just found the birth place or the place that my ancestor once lived. His name is Conrad Humber born 1829 in Boren, Germany. I do not know when he immigrated to America or if he was with other members of his family when he immigrated. He was in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1862, that is where his son John was born and in Bloomer, Wisconsin in 1880 (possibly before 1880). He married Cunigunda Hetzler date and place unknown. She came from Hemhophen which is a completely different district than Boren, so I think they married after they were both in the U.S. Can somebody please tell me about this area and if there are anymore Humber families there?
