I recently acquired a four-page letter written by my great-great-grandmother, Maria Dieckmann Lüsing, to her daughter. It was composed in 1930, a year prior to her death in Rederstall. A German friend informed me that it's composed in old script and appears to contain a northern dialect with which she's unfamiliar.
