I am trying to find information on my gggrandmother Sophia (Lizzie) Riss born May 1819 in Germany. I don't have her maiden name or where she lived in Germany. On the 1900 census in Ransom, Illinois she was listed as a widow who had 4 children all living and was living with her daughter Eliza & son-in-law Carl Joachim Gernentz. She died 19 May 1903 & buried in Allen cemetery in Ransom, Illinois. Death certificate showed just date of birth and death. No obituary filed. Would appreciate any help. She is my "brick wall."
