Hi folks, I am still searching for available records for my husband's great grandparents who immigrated in 1870-71. Henry (Probably Heinrich) Langrehr came in 1870 but we have not found him on the Hamburg Ship manifest lists. Ida Marie Heidemann Langrehr came in 1871 with three children. We have found her on the Hamburg lists which say she came from Elmshorn. Can someone give me an idea about what records might be available from Elmshorn for this period other than the church records and census records filmed by the Latter Day Saints? We don't know whether either of them were born in Elmshorn, but their children might have been. Did they need to get permission to leave the country? Are their employment records? Anything else? He married IDA MARIE HEITMANN Abt. 1860 in Germany, daughter of UNKNOWN HEITMANN. She was born Abt. July 1839 in Possibly Elmshorn, Holstein, Germany.
